• Managing an organisation’s central health records systems.
• Designing and revising medical record forms.
• Planning and developing new health information management systems and procedures.
• Developing and implementing new policies and procedures for the collection, management and use of health information.
• Training others in the correct policies and procedures to be used in health information collection and management.
• Testing and revising existing health record services.
• Controlling the transfer of health service data to state health departments.
