What's it like to be a Delivery Manager?
A Delivery Manager facilitates the timely production of software and other computer products through the effective management of team members and work schedules. They clear any impediments that may slow down their team’s progress on a project and set the timelines on which products will be delivered.

Tasks and duties
- Defining and documenting project scope and resource requirements.
- Setting timelines for deliverables.
- Defining and managing priorities against the available capacity of team members.
- Facilitating and leading daily ‘stand up’ meetings.
- Negotiating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Creating a collaborative, innovative and efficient working culture.
- Managing a cross–disciplinary team.
- Upholding morale and team performance in challenging circumstances.
- Encouraging regular iteration on deliverables.
- Ensuring the regular delivery of projects and products in accordance with Agile methodologies.
Delivery Managers typically work for IT companies and manage teams of Developers. They are strong communicators and have expert knowledge of Agile methodologies. The Delivery Manager defines the vision for the project, sets priorities and ensures work is completed on time.
