Why study this course

The Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management prepares students for professional and managerial roles in the global tourism industry, including hotels, resorts, airlines, restaurants, theme parks, cruises, destination marketing and management organisations, and events. Bond has strong relationships with Marriott, Accor, Hilton, InterContinental, Sheraton, Wyndham and many other international tourism organisations to ensure that students have the opportunity to see real industry projects and undertake internships throughout their studies. Bond's Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management is the only program in Australia to offer the Revenue Management Major, addressing the shortage of skilled revenue managers in the hotel and tourism industry. The Gold Coast has over 300 hotels and resorts plus dozens of major attractions in the region providing them with opportunities to gain experience at their fingertips.

Student review
I went back to University to complete a bachelor of business at the University of Queensland. I got a job straight away after graduating. Bond University and the hotel degree I studied was a terrible degree and I was only able to get a job in catering in order to work my way into an analyst job in hotels. I worked in catering for years and still got no where. There are barely any internships on offer in hotels let alone in revenue management, yet bond offers revenue as a major. I'm now in $130k debt for a degree I will never use and could never get anything out of.

The degree was really helpful in getting to where I am today in the short amount of time that it has taken. Most people in my current position have been working towards it for many years whereas I was able to fast track.
